This
is me waiting - again! - in a hotel lobby. Is it just me, or do
all family holidays result in much waiting by parents for offspring
(and wives) while they get their acts together and do all the
little things they decide at the last minute are vitally
important and can't be ignored. Photograph by wife on her way
back while I was apparently looking particularly annoyed.
On another note, this is fairly
typical of my experience of Egyptian hotel lobbies, very
impressive in marble usually with a (Moorish?) water feature
adding a welcome coolness and sound. It's especially welcome
when you first arrive a bit shell-shocked from the culture (and
temperature!) difference from your flight.
