The
Sphinx is located about 500 metres east of the second pyramid of
the Giza plateau, the Pyramid of Khafre that you see in the
background. This is the pyramid with the cap of limestone
cladding blocks. There is a road that stretches from the pyramid
to the Sphinx and the Temple of the Sphinx that lies in front.
